photos first half of March 2019

We’re proud of our Bukavu Frisbee players who conducted their first training yesterday for a group of 80 youths who are part of a peace club.

Our local tire repair shop. A generator welded to an air compressor. And we sure are glad these guys are all over the place because, with the condition of the roads, we give them a fair amount of business!

“At LePhare Bukavu, we hope to be a biblically functioning community of believers that shines the light of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in our neighborhood so that Christ’s redemptive purposes can be accomplished through the transformation of our city.” (Vision statement)

It’s our sabbath day after a crazy week, and we had a lot of fun making and eating DONUTS! 🎉

Beautiful Bukavu

What do you do when there’s no electricity and all your frozen stuff will get ruined? Order and break up an enormous block of ice! #winning
It’s already been 13 weeks of sitting on this couch for weekly Bible study with frisbee girls. And today was the last of the series we were doing. It’s flowing organically into starting a new cell group for Frisbee players, and we really see God moving in exciting ways!

The last couple of days have been rough - “little” things getting us down. But the growth that’s happening now is really exciting! This was our crew tonight at the new cell Bible study group the frisbee players asked us to start! (Notice the water in the background? That’s the river that forms the border between Rwanda and Congo here.)
